Egidijus Bavikinas
Egidijus Bavikinas (tenor) is a postgraduate student from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Kaunas faculty. Earlier he studied grand piano playing in childrenās music school in Kalvarijai. He graduated from High School of Pedagogy in MarijampolÄ in 2001 and a year later started conducting studies in Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. However, he decided to study vocal singing and participated in various courses and seminars in order to improve himself. During his studies he sang in various international festivals such as XVI miedzynarodowy festiwal mlodych laureatow in Poland, in TytuvÄnai and Pažaislis festivals in Lithuania and participated in other events in PanevÄžys with Chamber Music Orchestra.
He created many roles in performances: Catching Fire with Teamsters by KupreviÄius and Å altenis, in Master Class by Terrance McNally, in The Elixir of Love by Donizetti, in Notre-Dame de Paris by Riccardo Cocciante. Later he became a laureate in international singersā contests such as: The Art of 21st Century (in Kiev in 2007 and in Finland in 2008), Doch Gor (Poland). Bavikinas works as a singer at the Kaunas State Musical Theatre since 2008.
