Gediminas Maciulevičius (baritone) was born in Prienai. He and attended and graduated the secondary school in his home town. He studied solo singing from 1975 till 1982 in the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. After graduation he started working in the Kaunas State Musical Theatre and created more than fifty roles in various theatrical stage performances such as operettas, musicals and musical comedies. Gediminas received an award as the best male performer of the year in 1991. 8 years later he received Fortūna and Kristoforas prizes for his role as Higgins in My Fair Lady. Gediminas organized concert programs with his colleagues and had tours in Vietnam, Germany, USA and other countries. Also, he released several compact discs with his colleagues and the ensemble the Baritone Trio. This ensemble was established in 1995 in order to popularize genres such as musical and operetta. In addition to this they organized the first festival Operetta in Kaunas Castle in 2002. Gediminas received Fortūna diploma for his role as Herr Schultz in Cabaret and for Baron Mirko Zeta role in The Merry Widow.
