Raimondas Baranauskas

Raimondas Baranauskas (baritone) was born in the district of Šakiai in Liepalotai. He studied vocal singing in Gruodis Conservatory from 1992 to 1996. After graduation he entered Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, had been studying vocal singing there for two years and finished his Bachelor studies in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in the Vilnius Faculty.
He continued his studies led by Juozapaitis and received a Master’s degree in 2002. During his studies he was already working in Kaunas State Musical Theatre. When Raimondas participated in young singers’ competition Operetta is My Love he became a laureate.
He is a singer at Kaunas State Musical Theatre since 2004 and works in other theatres as well.
He was the major singer in Nykštukas Nosis by Tomas Kutavičius and received Fortūna diploma in 2006 not only for the major role in the latter performance but also for his roles in Kiss me, Kate and in The Barber of Seville. In the same year he received Orpheus statuette.
