Raimonda Talat-Kelpšaitė
Singer Raimonda Tallat – Kelpšaitė (soprano) was born in Vilnius. She graduated from Čiurlionis Academy of Arts in 1984. She had been studying choir conducting in the Academy of Arts and later after graduation she entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She studied solo singing and was taught by talented professor Rimantas Siparis and later by Kepenienė and Kaukaitė.
During her studies Raimonda actively participated in various competitions and sang with conductors such as Rinkevičius, Sondeckis and Domarkas. She participated in the recording of the chamber music by the Western European composers in the studio of the Lithuanian radio. She also participated in the recording of the children’s tale Bebenčiukas ir Kvailutėby Bartulis when it was recorded in 1990.
Raimonda participated in the first event for young artists Atžalynas in 1991 and since her graduation from the Music and Theatre Academy she works in the Kaunas State Musical Theatre.
Raimonda studied in the High School of Music and Visual Arts of the Austrian city Graz for 3 years (1992 – 1995). Her first performance in the school was as Pamina in The Magic Flute in 1993 in the Theatre in Palae. Her debut performance was as Hana Glavari in Leoben’s theatre. Raimonda is the one who received Landsbergis fond scholarship, as well as John Lennon classical music scholarship and Grand Scholarship.
Raimonda also received many other awards. For example, award and diploma in the international contest Toti dal Monte in Trevizo (Italy) in 1994 and two years later received a diploma in Feruccio Tagliavini competition (Austria). Raimonda is a singer at the Kaunas State Musical Theatre since 1999 and is a solo singing teacher in the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
Since 2000) she is a member of the ensemble Trio of Panthers which organized many concerts.
Raminta collaborated with the National Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra when the compact disc of the musical 8 women was recorded in 2001. Raminta is a solo singing teacher in Balys Dvarionas Music School in Vilnius.
