The setting of the operetta Madame Pompadour takes place in Paris. Vivid people, festivals and bars reflect the 17th century in the city at that time. The main character is Madame de Pompadour who is a historical personality. She was the lover of Louis XV from 1745 to her death. She was a very influential woman who was very interested in politics, science and arts. During her reign Madame de Pompadour influenced not only French people, but also people in all of Europe.
The operetta tells the story about the famous woman and her personal qualities, about her life full of love affairs and intrigues. The performance was nominated for the Golden Stage Cross in 2010. The Nominations were: Juozas Statkevičius (costumes and makeup) and Kristina Siurbytė (leading role of Madame de Pompadour).
